# Collecting Bonuses

> How Sweeps collects daily bonuses and how to monitor your earnings.

## Automatic Collection

Once you've connected your casinos and enabled auto-collect, Sweeps handles everything. The extension runs in the background and collects bonuses as they become available.

### What Gets Collected

Sweepstakes casinos typically offer two types of free currency:

* **Gold Coins (GC)** — Used for social/free play with no cash value
* **Sweeps Coins (SC)** — Can be redeemed for real prizes or cash equivalents

Sweeps collects both types of bonuses when available.

## Monitoring Your Collections

### Extension Dashboard

Open the Sweeps extension to see an overview of your collection activity:

* **Today's collections** — Bonuses collected in the current 24-hour period
* **Total earnings** — Cumulative coins collected across all casinos
* **Per-casino breakdown** — Individual collection status for each connected casino

### Activity Log

The activity log provides a detailed history of every collection attempt:

| Column    | Description                                            |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Timestamp | When the collection was attempted                      |
| Casino    | Which casino site                                      |
| Status    | Success, failed, or skipped                            |
| Amount    | Coins collected (if successful)                        |
| Notes     | Any relevant details (e.g., "Bonus not yet available") |

## Collection Timing

Sweeps automatically determines the best time to collect each casino's bonus based on their reset schedule. Most casinos reset daily bonuses at midnight in their local timezone.

## Handling Collection Issues

Sometimes a collection attempt may fail. Common reasons and solutions:

    Some casinos present CAPTCHAs during login. When this happens, Sweeps will notify you and pause collection for that casino until you manually solve the CAPTCHA.

    If you've changed your password on a casino site, update it in Sweeps via the [connection management](/guides/connecting-casinos#updating-credentials) settings.

    If you manually claimed a bonus before Sweeps could collect it, the extension will skip that collection cycle and try again at the next reset.

* **Connect more casinos** — The more casinos you connect, the more daily bonuses you collect.
* **Keep Sweeps running 24/7** — Ensure your computer stays on and Chrome remains open.
* **Keep credentials current** — Update passwords promptly when you change them on casino sites.
* **Check for new casinos** — Sweeps regularly adds support for new sites. Check the [supported casinos list](/reference/supported-casinos) periodically.
